Gartner relased a report that highlights the four ways companies use Twitter for and publishes the following findings…
Direct: As a marketing or public relations channel
Indirect: Employees use it to enhance and extend their personal reputations, thereby enhancing the company’s reputation
Internal: Employees communication on what they are doing, projects they are working on and ideas that occur to them
Inbound Signaling: Resource for information on what customers, competitors and others are saying about a company

When we started back in 2000 our brand slogan was ’ – the who, what, when, where and why of e-business‘. Today, Michael Stelzner uses this slogan in his ‚Social Media Marketing Industry Report: How Marketers Are Using Social Media to Grow Their Businesses‘ again – slightly different in promoting “who, what, where, when and why” of social media marketing. This report answers question CMO’s might ask, shows time-investment aspects, the benefits and so on in terms of social media. So, times are changing from e-business to social media business.
